Types of Plastics
HDPE (High Density Polyethylene)
HDPE is a widely used plastic known for its strength and durability. It can withstand temperatures of approximately 120–130°C without melting. It does not absorb water and performs well in humid environments or when frequently exposed to moisture. HDPE is also recyclable.
PP (Polypropylene)
PP is widely used in many industries due to its excellent chemical resistance, strength, and heat resistance. It has a melting point of approximately 160–170°C. This plastic is lightweight, recyclable, and certified as food-grade, making it suitable for food containers and packaging.
PE (Polyethylene)
PE is produced from the refining of crude oil or natural gas. It is tough, highly flexible, tear-resistant, and waterproof, making it suitable for producing films, plastic bags, and packaging materials. It is resistant to many chemicals, including acids, alkalis, oils, and solvents. PE can withstand temperatures up to approximately 100°C. Naturally colorless, it can be colored as required. It also provides good electrical insulation and is recyclable.
LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene)
LDPE is commonly used to manufacture freezer bags and food packaging because it is transparent and resistant to low temperatures. It is also widely used in various industries such as automotive, textile, and general merchandise, where plastic wrapping is required to protect products from dust and moisture.
LLDPE (Linear Low Density Polyethylene)
LLDPE is a type of linear low-density polyethylene that is clear, glossy, tough, and strong while maintaining good shape stability. It has excellent impact and puncture resistance. It is considered a material between HDPE and LDPE but offers greater flexibility and toughness. It can withstand temperatures of up to approximately 120°C and is commonly used as a sealing material in packaging. It is colorless, odorless, and suitable for packaging both hot and cold food.
Plastic Grades
Grade AAA (100% Virgin Material)
This grade is made from 100% virgin plastic and contains no recycled material.
Grade AA (20% Recycled A Content)
This grade is produced by blending 20% recycled Grade A plastic with virgin material.
Grade A (100% Recycled A Content)
This product is made from 100% recycled Grade A plastic.
Grade AB (100% Recycled AB Content)
This product is made from 100% recycled Grade AB plastic.
Grade B (100% Recycled B Content)
This grade is produced from recycled plastic material.
